Heath Ledger's Ex: 'My Heart Is Broken'

Heath Ledger's ex-fiancee says she is "heartbroken" by the star's death and asked that she and their little daughter be allowed to grieve in private.

Actress Michelle Williams, who reportedly split with Ledger over his drug use in September, has stayed out of sight since rushing home to New York after learning of Ledger's death two weeks ago.

Ledger was found dead in his Soho loft from an apparent prescription medicine overdose. His family is still waiting for an exact cause of death from the New York City medical examiner.

In her first statement since Ledger died, Williams said, "Please respect our need to grieve privately. My heart is broken." The statement was released by Ledger's spokeswoman.

According to People magazine, the actress was "devastated" upon hearing the news and rushed off a movie shoot in Sweden to fly back to New York with their daughter, Matilda. She arrived at the Brooklyn home the two once shared Jan. 23, greeted by makeshift memorials of flowers and letters.

Williams, 27, and Ledger, 28, met while filming "Brokeback Mountain" in 2005. She played his wife in the movie. The couple dated, lived together in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had Matilda in October 2005. Despite rumors about a wedding, the two split in September 2007.

Ledger was found dead in his downtown Manhattan apartment Jan. 22, with bottles of prescription drugs nearby. The actor's cause of death remains open, pending toxicology tests. Clips from a January 2006 video of Ledger at a Hollywood drug party were released earlier this week, increasing speculation that drugs may have been involved in his untimely death.

Ledger's family and friends, including former girlfriend Naomi Watts, paid tribute to the actor at a private memorial service in Los Angeles, Saturday night. According to Australia's The Age, Ledger's body will be buried in his hometown of Perth next week and Williams is expected to attend the funeral.

There was no obvious indication of suicide or foul play, said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne.

"We are all deeply saddened and shocked by this accident," Ledger's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, said in a statement Tuesday night. "This is an extremely difficult time for his loved ones and we are asking the media to please respect the family's privacy and avoid speculation until the facts are known."

His father, mother and sister in Australia also expressed their shock at the actor's "untimely and accidental" death in a statement for Seven Network, The Associated Press reported.

Actress Sienna Miller has won a High Court privacy case against a photographer who took nude pictures of her without her consent.

The judge granted a default judgement and a permanent injunction against photographer Warren Richardson.

The photos were taken while Ms Miller was filming Hippie Hippie Shake, based on the memoirs of Richard Neville, who edited counterculture magazine Oz.

Mr Richardson said he would agree not to use the still images.

Any damages will be decided at a later date and Mr Richardson was ordered to pay costs.

Long lens

Ms Miller's lawyer, David Sherborne, told Mr Justice Eady in London that the actress - currently abroad - was "extremely distressed" by the incident which happened on a closed film set on a private estate in Surrey.

The "highly intrusive" pictures were taken using a long lens while Ms Miller was removing her clothes and entering a lake.

Mr Richardson then provided the photographs to the Xposure Photo Agency.

Ms Miller had already settled a case against Xposure and The Sun and the News of the World, which printed the photographs.

News Group Newspapers, along with Xposure, had to pay the actress £37,500 in damages, plus legal costs, after the pictures were printed in October.

Hippie Hippie Shake is due for release later this year.

On Thursday, TMZ.com reported that Anderson is pregnant with Salomon's baby, but is still divorcing him.

Salomon has told friends he believes she is "acting crazy" because of the pregnancy and hopes she will settle back into the marriage, TMZ said.

Anderson had divorce papers personally served to Salomon on Dec. 28., usmagazine.com reported last week.

The papers were served two weeks after Anderson first filed for divorce from Salomon, a decision she rescinded just a few hours later with a blog post that they were "working things out."

Anderson, 40, stated in her divorce request that she and Salomon were married from Oct. 6 to Dec. 13.

Anderson and Salomon wed Oct. 6 during a break between the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows of "Hans Klok's The Beauty of Magic" at Planet Hollywood resort, where Anderson was starring as a magician's assistant.

Anderson was previously married to singer Kid Rock and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.

Salomon, 38, is best-known for making a sex videotape with his then-girlfriend Paris Hilton and was previously married to actress Shannen Doherty.
