March 13, 2007 : two bodyguards for Leonardo DiCaprio were not arrested in Israel as reported earlier.
They are in fact brought in to the local police station for questioning in regards to a scuffle with the paparazzi this past Monday.
TMZ.com reports, sources involved in the incident said that a group of paparazzi aggressively swarmed DiCaprio and his Israeli born girlfriend Bar Refaeli. The twosome had been on a private tour of the Western wall tunnels, in the old city of Jerusalem.
The mobbing paparazzi left sever body damages to the van the couple was traveling in.
The local police received complaints from several members of the paparazzi saying that they were assaulted by the Departed star’s bodyguards.
After sorting through the details of the incident the police issued several restraining orders against members of the paparazzi so DiCaprio and Sports Illustrated model Refaeli can carry out the rest of their travels without being bothered.
