Mel C agrees to a Spice Girls reunion

Melanie Chisholm aka Mel C, ex-Spice Girls singer.

12 March 2007 (Bang) - The 33-year-old singer - who previously resisted all attempts to reunite the group - has been persuaded to perform with the girls once again by the band's former manager Simon Fuller.

Fuller is quoted as saying: "All of the girls are up for it. The reunion will definitely happen."

Mel - formerly known as Sporty Spice - was the only stumbling block in plans to reform the British girl group.

Fuller recently urged Mel's one-time bandmates Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell to talk to her about a six-month world tour.

Fuller, who masterminded the group's phenomenal worldwide success, says the reunion will only be temporary.

He said: "The Spice Girls will come back with a big bang. They will do a whirlwind tour for six months and then be gone again."

The Spice Girls - who also comprised of Victoria Beckham and Mel B - were one of the most successful girl groups of all time, selling 53 million albums worldwide.
